BOUGAINVILLEA LINEN HERRINGBONE THROW

Also known as a broken twill weave, the herringbone weave refers to a manner of weaving the fabric in a geometric zig-zag pattern. The zig-zag appearance is result of half warp and half weft yarns.

The name herringbone (herring-bone) is derived from the similarity between the weaving pattern and the skeletal structure of the herring fish.

The Bougainvillea Herringbone throw is suitable for day-time lounging. However, it is not a replacement for a blanket.

This throw is machine washable in cold water on GENTLE setting. Use a very mild cleaner (non-abrasive & bleach-free) to keep your linen looking good. We recommend line drying this throw in shade. Iron on appropriate (low heat) settings.

Stonewashing is a method of washing wherein the cloth is rolled over with abrasive stones (pumice) to give the fabric a loose, crinkly texture and a feather-like soft finish. Because of this our duvet covers are softer than ones made of regular (not-stonewashed) linen, and will prevent the fabric from shrinking over time with multiple washes. Not only that, stonewashing will give the fabric a lived-in, vintage touch and feel.
