Flax Linen Wash And Dry Manual

I. HOW TO WASH YOUR BEAUTIFUL LINEN.

The flax linen fabric used in our products is pre-washed to avoid any lint or shrinkage, and has been dyed and fixed properly with skin safe colors. If you observe a slight lint during the first usage, do not worry ; it will go after the first wash.

Our linen is safe for machine-wash unless we clearly mention 'Dry Clean Only.'

Remember: Hot water damages the linen yarn and reduces its life. Please use cold water to wash your linen.

For hand wash or machine wash of colored linen at home:-

Keep the wash cycle setting on gentle wash.

Use cold water, and very mild, bleach free detergent suitable for delicate clothes.

Wash the dark colors separately from lighter and softer colors.

To ensure a crease free wash, load the machine to half of its capacity, so that the linen gets ample water during the rinse cycle.

Do not use abrasive detergents, bleach or fabric softeners on colored linen. It can fade the colors and cause pilling.

Do not wash your precious linen along with any hard, abrasive or chemically treated fabrics. It can cause linen to fade or develop lint or can cause pilling.

White linen, if without any laces or delicate detailing, can be washed in warm water with other white laundry.

II. HOW TO REMOVE ACCIDENTAL STAINS.

In case of any staining, immediately soak the stain in cold water and hand-wash the stain with a gentle soap and cold water.

For wine spillage on flax table linen, cover the red wine stain with salt or sugar immediately and wipe it off instantly to prevent permanent staining. Then wash the linen as directed.

For white linen, you can use stain removers to clean the stains first and then wash as directed.

III. HOW TO DRY YOUR LINEN.

Linen fabric does not need tumble dry in machine; tumble dry will crease the fabric, and the heat during drying will damage the yarn.

After washing, just fold and hang to dry, or spread and hang to dry your linen in open spaces with good wind.

Dry the white linen in sunlight to get the sparkling color.

Dry the colored linen in shade to avoid fading.

Linen fabric does not need ironing, as the slightly wrinkled look is actually the beauty of the fabric.

However, if you wish to iron, do the same on still-damp linen to get that crisp look.

IV. WASH CARE FOR JUTE FABRIC.

Jute fabric and burlap don’t require a lot of washing as most dirt and dust can be simply rubbed off. However, if you must wash your jute or burlap linen, then please wash it gently.

Always wash jute and burlap linen separately and alone as it can shed fiber.

Hand wash separately in cold water using mild soap.

Do not wring or twist jute and burlap linen while washing or drying, as it can damage the yarn.

Do not bleach.

For any stubborn stain removals, soak the stain in lukewarm water for some time, and then wash it off gently with mild soap and cold water.

V. HOW TO DRY YOUR JUTE/LINEN:

Jute and burlap should be air dried or line dried in shade. Do not expose colored jute or burlap linen to direct sun.

IV. HOW TO IRON JUTE AND BURLAP LINEN:

Iron the jute and burlap linen while it is still damp. Stretch the damp garment to bring it back to its natural shape and size.
Use low heat.

Tip: Iron your jute and burlap linen upside down/inside out. This will preserve the natural fall and weave, and there won’t be any marks.
