Know Your Linen

From Yarn to Home - the journey of every piece we make

Buying linen today can feel confusing.

There are different prices, different weaves, different claims -  “pure linen,” “premium linen,” “European flax,” “stonewashed,” “softened,” “luxury.”
-but very little explanation is extended.

So we decided to write this openly.

This is the story of our linen - where it begins, how it is made, and why you can trust it.

It begins with the yarn.

The linen you use is only as good as the yarn it begins with.

Ours is OEKO-TEX certified.

Our flax yarn comes from the fields of Europe, and is clean, and healthy. This yarn is bought, and brought in by our mill in India, which carefully weaves our fabric as per our instruction, and requirements. We choose weights and constructions suited to slow homes - fabrics that feel airy in summer, comfortable in air-conditioning, and cosy in cooler months.

Every roll of fabric that reaches us carries a story of fibre, skill and time.

The fabric comes first. Always.

We receive bales of raw, unprocessed linen, and we patch test it for weave, and purity.

We touch it.
We wash it.
We sleep on it.
We live with it.

Only then do we decide what it will become, and start the process.

Bedsheets, pillowcases, throws, aprons - each product demands a different weight, weave and finish. We do not believe in one-size-fits-all linen. Thoughtful choices make the difference between a product that looks good and one that truly feels good.

Our linen is not treated to feel artificially soft on day one.
It is allowed to behave like real linen ; to relax and get better with every wash.

Small batches, slow processes

We are not a factory brand.

We are a small-batch, slow-living label.

That means:

Fabrics are dyed in controlled quantities ( mostly post an order)

Colours are chosen thoughtfully, not in trends

Cutting and stitching happen in small workshops (in-house)

Finishes are done meticulously by hand, not by shortcuts

There are no assembly lines rushing to meet impossible targets. There are real humans behind every product - tailors, dyers, finishers, pressmen - all part of the journey your linen takes before it reaches you.

This slower process is why our products feel different.

Dyeing - where colour meets care

Linen takes colour beautifully , but safe and gentle dyeing needs patience.

Our dyeing is done in small lots, using processes and dyes that respect the fabric. We use certified skin safe dyes, and our hues are slowly developed to feel natural and understated. Nothing loud. Nothing not linen.

You may actually notice slight tonal variations in our linen.

That is the signature of pure linen, slowly hand dyed with safe processes.

Each batch absorbs colour a little differently, just like nature intended. We embrace these imperfections because they make every piece authentic.

Stonewashing and finishing

After dyeing comes one of the most important steps - finishing.

We gently stonewash a lot of our linen pieces, so they feel a bit softer, more relaxed and more lived-in. This process allows linen to lose a bit of its stiffness, and develop the gentle drape it is loved for.

We avoid harsh chemical softeners. We do not do enzyme washes.

The softness you feel in our linen comes from time, water and careful handling - not artificial treatments that wash away after a few uses, damage the yarn, and reduce the lifespan.

Thoughtful designs, not trend-chasers

Our linen is designed for real homes and real lives.

We do not chase micro-trends.
We create pieces that seamlessly merge into everyday living.

A bedsheet that breathes through nights.
A throw that gets softer with age.
An apron strong enough for kitchens, studios and gardens.
Cushion covers with hand embroidery and hand painted heritage art.

Design, for us, is not about decoration;
It is about the legendary linen comfort, function, sustainability, and longevity.

Honest pricing

Slowly, and sustainably made linen costs more because:

      European Flax yarn is expensive

Slow and safe production is labour intensive

Skin safe dyeing and finishing are carefully done by real humans

Artisanal Craftsmanship is time, labour, and emotion intensive process

Anyone selling flax linen at extremely low prices is either:

      Using linen blends

      Using lower-grade fibres

      Cutting corners in processing

We price our products responsibly - not inflated for pride, not discounted for bargain, and what you pay for is authentic material, fair labour and thoughtful making.

Transparent marketing

We do not make complicated claims. We do not do hyped social media. We do not over promise. Our truth is simple.

Our linen is pure European flax linen

      We use skin safe dyes

It is made in small, mindful batches - mostly on order

      We work slowly, and consciously

We use fair trade practices, abide by labour laws, and have a peaceful, and conducive work environment.

If a product has a specific weave, GSM or construction, we mention it. If a colour is hand-dyed, we say so. If a piece is handcrafted, we explain it. We want you to know exactly what you are buying.

Our Linen is meant to be lived in

Perfectly pressed linen belongs to photo shoots.

Real wrinkly linen belongs to life.

It will crease.
It will relax.
It will change a little with time.

And that is its authentic self.

Our linen is not just for displays. It is made for slow mornings, easy lounging, messy kitchens, afternoon naps, family dinners and everyday comfort.

It is stunning to display too.

When you buy from us-

You are not just buying a product. You are consciously choosing:

When you buy from us, you are buying linen that has travelled carefully — from yarn to fabric, from dyeing to stitching, from our hands to your home.

This is our promise

To send you the promised linen.
