Newness in February
WHY DUNE GREY
I chose this grey because most greys are too clever.
-Too blue, too cold, too designed.
I wanted a new grey in beddings. Something that was not defined by seasons or cultures.
While working with our dye master, I kept rejecting swatch samples. Everything looked artificial, almost metallic. It was not my grey.
Then one evening, a folded piece of fabric lay on my kitchen counter, next to a steel bowl filled with raw rice. And something struck a chord. The voice matched - Soft, natural, unpretentious.
That was the moment Dune Grey was born.
A grey that doesn’t shout.
A grey that behaves like sand – gentle, warm, steady.
It is the colour of early mornings, overcast skies, and calm rooms where nothing needs to prove anything.
I chose it because rest should feel like this.
I am glad I found it.
WHY TERRA BROWN
This colour began with a memory, not a palette.
I wanted a brown that felt home, without the BROWN dark hues. A lot of time was spent looking at a lot of shade cards, and creating swatches.
And then I traveled to Prague. I saw my brown, from over a hilltop. I took over fifty pictures of the scene before my eyes.
& This colour is my ode to the stunning red roofs I met in Prague.
Layer by layer, dye by dye, the shade developed and deepened until it carried the warmth of baked earth.
Terra Brown is not a fashionable colour ; it is a familiar one.
Grounded. Honest. Comforting.
It is HOME..
